I can hear the bells---

Day 7:

I'd leaned to ignore the phone. Before locking it behind that case, no one had bothered to turn off my alarm, so it continued to go off at five-thirty, every morning, but I had adapted myself to sleep through it. Some of the calls were scary, dissorienting at the least, but, in a weird way, I think I am drifting away. Away frome reality, away from my friends and family, and worse even yet; away from Landon. I spent so much time sleeping, waiting mostly. Yet, I didn't know waht I was waiting for. Eventually, I drifted off. I swear I was becoming noctournal. But anyway, I fell asleep to a soft, sweet smelling breath on my neck and ear. I squeezed my pillow before slowly opening my two-ton eyelids. "Hey-ya, Darlin'" I was still to far asleep to respond. "I thought you'd like a shower and then a little surprise." I smiled as I stood up and he threw a terry-bathrobe over me playfully, coving most of my face and body. I pulled the edge of it off my eyes with both hands, still covering most of my face. "You look like a rabbit," Christian smirked. "What?!" I laughed as I stood up. He swung a little bag around his finger. I smiled sarcastically, "Ooh. Underwear. I'm flattered." He grimised back, "You should be." He grabbed my hand loosely and I followed him out the door to the bathroom. I tried to turn through the door, but he held me back, "What, no breakfast?" I laughed, impatient, and leaned in to kiss him quickly, but he embraced me long enough to to set the small bag down my shirt and between my breasts. It was surprisingly heavy, and as I put my hand down my shirt to retrieve it, he slapped my arm gently, "Ah ah ah. Noy until you're showered." I smiled and turned away, and he watched me, smriking, until I rounded the corner.
--
I ran my fingers through my hair as warm water trickled over my body. I normally kept my eyes closed while I'm showering, but something seemed to glue them open this time. I absorbed the white tiles covering the floor and climbing the walls until they met the flourescent lights exploding from the ceiling. I took in the way the sterling silver knobs and faucets [no lie, the were silver,] contrast against the hospital white. I also noticed a little red, blinking dot out of the corner of my eye. A camera. 'Fricken sickos,' I thought to myself. I walked out of the stall and rubbed the fog and steam from the mirror. I looked tired, with huge, midnight black bags under my eyes, but I knew I'd been getting plenty of rest. I turned on my heel, fast as a bullet. I scared myself. I went to the bag to grab my new undergarments. As I ripped them out hostily, a black box fell to the floor. I threw them on sloppily and ripped on my tshirt before I bent over and picked up the box. As I flipped the lid, my mouth dropped. Within it sat a ring, engraved and embellished in diamonds, 'Marry Me?' I dropped it, in love and repulsed, and I sprinted out of the room, not sure where I was headed. I turned the corner and ran smack into the center of Christian's chest. He sneered, "Not exactly the expression I was hoping for. Should I have asked you myself?" I looked at his angelic face, confused. I felt like I was being PUNK'D or something. I managed to mumble, "Uh, . . . I don't honestly know wht to say." He placed his index finger on my face, lightly tracing my facial features, his sweet smell engulfing me. "Don't say anything," he whispered as he kissed my forehead. He stood back and smiled, "I have something to show you." He carfully took my hand and walked me back towards his room, but instead of passing throught the "threshhold," he led me to the next door over. He opened it to reveal another bedroom. This bedroom was quite girly and centered around a canopy bed, the sheets were a light shade of pink. He led me over towards the bed and said, "What do you think?" I examined the walls, monsterous closets, and victorian styled dressers. It was beautiful. I smiled, in spite of myself, "It's so beautiful! What's it for?" He eyed me dangerously, "It's for you." I looked at him, shocked, as he continued. "I thought you could use your own room. I mean, I know you're friends with Harlie and stuff. I guess it wouldn't be a problem. She can come see you whenever you want." I looked at him. A huge smile spread across my face, and I stood up and wrapped my arms around him. "Thank you," I whispered into his chest. I felt him run his fingers through my hair. "For you, anything." I stood back and examined his face, "What's the catch?" His face broke into and evil ricus, "It's not officially yours until you answer yes to my question." I playfully smacked his, "You're horrible." He laughed, "I'll let you think about it. Come on. Back to your room, Hil."
